A 200 year old lighthouse keepers house, set atop the cliffs at Youghal Bay.
Home to every lighthouse keeper and their family who guided seafarers safely into or around Youghal bay, these walls hold the seafaring history of the town and its long heritage with the sea. This site was also home to the first female lighthouse keepers in the world, nuns from the order of St Anne’s.
After an extensive renovation in 2018, the keepers has been brought carefully up to modern standards whilst retaining all of its charm and character. It has been a finalist in RTE’s Home of the year and voted as Irish Independents top 50 places to stay in Ireland and top 10 best small stays in Ireland 2024
