This is one of Ireland’s most exciting new greenways – currently being constructed along the disused Youghal to Midleton railway corridor and providing a stunning 23 km route through beautiful verdant countryside. The Greenway promises experiences every family looks for. Here kids learn about nature the fun, real way – engaged and inspired by their surrounds – creating unforgettable family moments.
The Greenway will be ideal for family off-road walking or cycling: the route’s length means children of all ages can enjoy it. Best of all, the different stages of the Greenway make it perfect for ‘bite-sized’ visits, with the freedom to hop off and on again wherever you feel like it.
En route you’ll pass through the lush heart of East Cork, skirting some coastal scenery and visiting pretty towns and villages. Here the countryside is ever-changing -from wood to farmland and marsh.
