From 27 May to 3 June 2024 the Blackwater Valley will once again welcome this feast of classical music and opera performances. This year’s Summer Opera Festival will treat audiences to opera, recitals and concerts at 12 beautiful locations – including Youghal, with Greenpark Youghal serving as the beautiful backdrop for a lunchtime recital on Saturday 4th June 2024 at 12 noon. Music, history and natural beauty in perfect harmony!
Relax with a Lunchtime Recital – June 1st 2024
This year, the Festival continues its pop-up programme of free lunchtime festival recital – giving you the opportunity to enjoy some highlights of classical and operatic repertoire in a relaxed, less formal way. The Youghal open-air lunchtime event will held at Greenpark and attendance is FREE of charge, although pre-booking is required.
A Chorus Recital at St Mary’s – May 28th 2024
Blackwater Valley Opera Festival returns to St. Mary’s Collegiate Church in Youghal for the 2024 festival with the wonderful Handel and Haydn – English Songbook. A most beautiful and atmospheric night promised within the magnificent medieval St. Mary’s Collegiate Church.
